Before renovating, this kitchen was one-fourth the size.
The claustrophobic space is transformed into a dynamic interplay of line, form and function. Changing the roofline and installing ceiling height windows opened up and brightened this room. When the clients asked for black and white, Lois suggested a softer version with pearlized laminate cabinets, a neutral flooring and a custom tiled backsplash of black, white and neutral tones that is reminiscent of the New York skyline of the clients childhood home.
